Literature Text

A calm smile suddenly emerged

As she remained submerged

In the ocean's cool waters.

A figure appeared; her calm faltered

She quickly turned and dived down

Knowing that she could not drown.

The figure disappeared

And her head reappeared

On the surface of the waves,

Laughing at the toiling slaves,

Breaking their backs inevitably

As she returned to defying gravity.
Hey, another poem! This is what happens when I listen to a song over and over. I get (dare I say it?) Poetry Ideas!!! In this case, I was listening to "Defying Gravity" from Wicked. This one gave me a bit of trouble, though.

And, since it's summer, what better setting than the ocean?

Done in about 6 minutes.

Oh, I totally need to listen to music to write. I'm so OCD about it that I actually broke my disorginizational habits and orginized a playlist so that it's my book soundtrack. Obessed, much?

But this is still good. I love that song, by the way. . .:)

Oh, and me and Ash sang "When You Got It, Flaunt It" from "The Producers" today in Religion because our teacher was talking about Islam being all conservative and, generally, women have to be at least partially-covered in Islamic-ruled countries.
